I am a child of God.
He is my child.
I am a lion—
He is my lion cub.
—hear me roar!
It is but a feeble attempt now,
but one day he will roar for Me.
I am forgiven.
when he gets into trouble
and comes back to Me.
My Daddy has licked my wounds
and cleaned me.
I am his Father, and he is My son—
I will always love him.
He will take care of me.
I always have, and I always will.
Don’t mess with me, you won’t want to face my Dad.
I will protect him.
He’s given me all this territory,
I have shown him where he can go and explore.
and it's mine to roam,
as long as I stay inside where He has marked for me.
I want him to explore and roam and grow strong—
I will be with Him.
I’m not afraid of you—my Dad is strong.
As long as he stays in the territory I have marked for him,
you will leave him alone.
I am a lion, hear me roar!
He will be my lion, one day he will roar.
